Drift House.
Set in the coastal town of Port Fairy, Drift House is a study in architectural contrast. Designed by Multiplicity, the property weaves together a double-story Victorian house and an Edwardian villa with modern additions wrapped in perforated metal. The result is six bespoke king suites where salvaged timber and local stone meet sharp, contemporary lines. This adult-only retreat focuses on high-design privacy; every room is unique, featuring curated seating areas and a "Maxi-bar" stocked with local finds. Beyond the aesthetics, the hotel operates with a genuine commitment to sustainability, from water conservation to a charitable donation for every direct booking. Guests gather in The Salon for breakfasts and dinners that highlight regional produce, while the central location provides easy access to the town’s beaches and the Moyne River, all with the quiet intimacy of a private residence.
