Housed inside the provincial government headquarters along Rosario’s historic Paseo del Siglo, this natural sciences museum traded traditional, dusty specimen cases for interactive, community-minded curation. Founded in 1945, the institution focuses heavily on the local ecology of the Paraná River, using hands-on installations to explore the region’s wetlands, biodiversity, and environmental challenges. Its exhibits seamlessly blend zoology, botany, and paleontology with urban history. This is best highlighted by a fascinating permanent display of thousands of historical artifacts unearthed right on-site after a nearby ground collapse in 2016. It is a compact but thoughtful space where regional science directly meets the city's social memory.
