Bodegas Salentein.

Bodegas Salentein is a striking, cross-shaped landmark in Mendoza’s high-altitude Uco Valley, designed to fuse winemaking with art and architecture. Founded in 1996 by Dutch entrepreneur Mijndert Pon, the gravity-flow winery sits up to 1,700 meters above sea level in Tupungato. Visitors descend into cathedral-like underground cellars where tastings are held around a massive limestone table, surrounded by oak barrels and natural stone floors. Above ground, the estate features the Killka Center for Culture and the Arts, a gallery showcasing regional artwork. The experience is rounded out by a traditional chapel, horse rides to the high-elevation San Pablo Ranch, and regional dining paired with the estate's signature, calcium-rich Malbecs.
